Gradology, Inc., is referred to in this document (“Policy”) as “Gradology”, “we”, “our”, or “us”.  

This Policy explains how personally information is collected, used and disclosed by Gradology with respect to your access and use of our web application (“App”).

The Gradology website located at https://www.gradology.com (collectively, the “Sites”) and Gradology’s online products and services provided therein (collectively with the App and Sites, the “Service”), so that you can make an informed decision about using the Service.  

For the avoidance of doubt, the collection, use and disclosure of information by merchants that issue and redeem gift cards using the Service are governed by the privacy policies of those merchants.

We reserve the right to change the provisions and/or content of this Policy at any time.

Gradology may not alert you that changes have been made. You are highly encouraged to review this privacy policy from time-to-time as it is subject to changes, modifications, additions, deletions, etc.

What Is Personally Identifiable Information?

The term “personally identifiable information” includes information that distrinctly identifies an individual (such as a name, user name or email address, phone number, etc), or information about that individual that is directly linked to information that specifically identifies an individual. Personally identifiable information does not include “aggregate” information, which is data we collect about the aggregate use of the Service or about a group or category of services or users, or data that has been reasonably de-identified and from which individual identities or other personally identifiable information has reasonably been removed.

This privacy policy does not, in any way, restrict or limit our collection and use of aggregate or de-identified information.

User Provided Collected Information

Whenever you use the Service and App, we are constantly collecting data in the form of usage, sessions, cookies, among other forms of data.  Information that is voluntarily provided is collected and stored in our servers.  This information includes, but is not limited to your email address, name, school, state, city, zip code, (if applicable) and/or other personally identifiable information.  Other information including but not limited to personal, demographical, and geographical information may also be collected.

Automatically Collected Information

Some information is automatically logged and stored when you use our service  Suh information may include but is not limited to Internet Protocol (IP) addresses which provide location, time, and other user-related data, device identifiers, phone numbers, device model and/or type and maker, browser(s), operating system, languages, etc.

Such information is often collected and stored in our logs for a period of time.  Automatically collected information is not typically used and/or displayed to any users on Gradology.  However, user-provided information may be used and/or displayed to other users on Gradology.

Gradology may, at times, collect information regarding your precise/exact location geographically.  You may be prompted to when asked to share such information.  

Cookies

Gradology may employ the usage of cookies and whenever you use the Service.  Cookies are data files sent between your computer and our servers for the purposes of retrieving the proper data and information to display on the Service.

If you are uncomfortable using cookies, you may block, erase, eliminate, or be warned of sites that use cookies by using your browser settings.  However, restricting cookies may impact the overall Gradology experience.

The use of cookies including our partners, affiliates, tracking utility company, and/or Service Providers is not covered by this Policy.

We may employ the usage of Web beacons or link to clear GIF files throughout our web experience for the purposes of tracking information.

Personally identifiable information is stored securely on our servers in the United States and abroad.

Information We Collect From Other/Outside Sources: Gradology may also collect user information from other 3rd party services and sources including but not limited to social media sites, email addresses, etc.  

How Does Gradology Use the Information Collected?

Information collected through Gradology may be used for a variety of uses, including but not limited to:

Gradology may share content and information with third parties.  In most cases, you will be prompted or alerted before any such information is shared.

Information Retention, Deletion, and Storage

If your personal information is set to change or you would like to no longer be a part of the Gradology community, please send an email to support@gradology.com for updates, modifications, or deletions.

If you wish to request the deletion of an unauthorized account, you may contact us at support@Gradology.com

Your information will be retained for as long as your account exists.  All information needed to comply with legal obligations and statues will be retained in accordance with the law.

External Links

Gradology may include and contain hyperlinks to outside, third party websites.  Such content is governed by the privacy policy of those external websites and is not encompassed by this policy.

Security

Security is of the utmost concern at Gradology.  As noted in this policy, some personal information will be shared with every user on the Service.  

We take reasonable measures and steps to ensure your information is safe and secure.  However, despite our attempts to ensure the security of such information, no online security methods are impenetrable or perfect and we cannot guarantee against attacks or misuse.  

Please make sure to not share your password with anyone.  Sharing your password is a breach of this policy and you assume complete responsibility for any outcomes should such an event occur.

Connecting Via Social Networks

You can log in to the Service using sign-in services from your social network such as Facebook Connect or an Open ID provider. Certain services, like Facebook Connect, give you the option to post information and to share such information with others within your social network. If you stop using the social network from which you signed-in to use the Service, you agree that we will nevertheless retain the personally identifiable information from such social network to which you provided us access in accordance with this Policy.

Social Media

The Service includes social media features, including but not limited to Facebook sharing and other social networking related materials. These features may obtain, store, or collect your IP address and/or other personal information.

The usage of these features is governed by the privacy policy of the respective company/companies.
